Dr. Ang Ai Tin
Dr. Ang Ai Tin graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1981 and received her Master's in Paediatric Medicine 6 years later in 1987.
Dr. Ang has been with Thomson Paediatric Centre since 1991 and has been our resident neonatologist since the Specialists Accreditation Board recognized her for Neonatology in 2011.
Dr. Ang’s specialty is in Neo-natal Intensive Care where she handles babies admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Ang’s usual practice is in outpatient where she cares for infants from birth up to 16-year-old adolescents.
Dr. Yang Linqi
Dr. Yang Linqi is a Paediatrician with a special interest in Paediatric Cardiology. She is currently one of the anchor doctors at Thomson Paediatric Centre. She is also a visiting specialist at Khoo Teck Puat-National University Children’s Medical Institute (KTP-NUCMI), National University Hospital, Singapore.
Dr. Yang graduated from the National University of Singapore and obtained her post-graduate specialist qualification from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, UK. She has completed attachments in Foetal Echocardiography at Sick Kids Hospital, Toronto and Ramathibodi Hospital, Bangkok. She is specialist accredited with the Specialist Accreditation Board (Ministry of Health).
While in NUH, Dr. Yang took care of patients from the General Paediatric, Paediatric Cardiology, as well as Paediatric High Dependency units. Her clinical practice involved all aspects of Paediatric Cardiology including the management of complex congenital and acquired heart conditions in the outpatient setting as well as critical post-operative patients in the intensive care setting.
A big part of her career involves educating her medical students, junior doctors and nurses. As a tutor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS), she continues to teach medical simulation sessions and Paediatric Advance Life Support courses. In 2014, she was awarded the NUH Young Clinician Mentor award in recognition of her excellent work in teaching and her ability to guide and inspire her students.
Dr. Yang has also published multiple research papers in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at conferences both locally and overseas. Her research interests are in Fetal Cardiology, Kawasaki Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
Believing in giving back to the society, she has been involved in medical mission trips in Cambodia to provide medical care and education to the rural population. Dr. Yang is a strong advocate for early health screening and disease prevention.
As a mother of two, she strongly believes in the strength of a lovely relationship between parents and their children. Her philosophy in doctoring is one that is focused on building strong relationships with her patients and their families. She feels privileged to be able to grow together with her little patients and enjoys supporting them and their families with professional advice and care.
Dr. Eugene Han
Dr. Eugene Han obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS), achieving the Jane Prize in Paediatrics. He is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) and an accredited Paediatric Medicine Specialist by the Singapore Medical Council. He has been elected to a fellowship in the American College of Chest Physicians and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
After his specialist training at the National University Hospital, Singapore (NUH), with a stint at Victoria Hospital, Scotland, Dr. Han was a paediatrician at the Division of Paediatric Pulmonology and Critical Care, NUH. He was also appointed a clinical tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. He went into private practice in 2012 with SBCC Baby & Child Clinic before joining Thomson Paediatric Centre.
Besides general paediatrics, his clinical interests include asthma, allergy and chronic cough. He has published articles in international medical journals, presented at international conferences and written clinical guidelines for asthma, bronchiolitis and pneumonia.
He is currently an executive committee member of the Singapore Paediatric Society and was the chairman of the Children’s Asthma and Allergy Network (I CAN!). Being an avid sportsman, Dr. Han represented Singapore in the National Baseball and Softball teams, and rendered medical support to the 1st Asian Youth Games in 2009.
Dr. Tan Kuanyang
Dr. Tan Kuanyang obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore (2005) He was amongst the top students of his cohort with multiple academic Deans' List placements and a winner of numerous academic prizes.
He cleared all his Royal College examinations on the first attempt and was awarded a Membership to the Royal College of Paediatricians and Child Health in the United Kingdom in 2009.
He was also awarded his Master's Degree in Paediatric Medicine in 2010, and was conferred his Fellowship in the Academy of Medicine of Singapore in the field of pediatric medicine in 2013.
An accredited pediatrician, Dr. Tan was formerly an Associate Consultant with the National University Hospitals Pediatric Department and has a special interest in the field of Pediatric Emergency medicine, where he is experienced in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of pediatric medical problems.
He was also very active in medical education and was a clinical tutor at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at NUS.
