Dr. Dave Ong graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with an MBBS in 2009. He was placed on the Dean’s List and won several awards, including the Nestle Gold Medal for Paediatrics, the Wong Hock Boon Paediatric Immunology and Allergy Prize, the Lim Boon Keng Medal for Medicine, the Wong Poi Kwong Medal for Medicine and the Medical Alumni Association Medal for Microbiology & Infectious Diseases. He received his post-graduate specialist training in Paediatric Medicine at the National University Health System (NUHS), and was awarded the combined Master of Medicine (Paediatric Medicine) and Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH, United Kingdom) in 2014. He is accredited and registered with the Singapore Medical Council as a Paediatric Medicine Specialist, and is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore (College of Paediatrics and Child Health).
Clinical Experience
Dr. Ong is competent in paediatric and neonatal resuscitations for acute emergencies. His patient communication skills and bedside manners have earned him numerous patient compliment letters, some of which were published on the Straits Times Forum. He is passionate about patient education, and has written articles to educate parents on paediatric health conditions. He has also been very involved in medical education for undergraduates and postgraduates, receiving awards including the NUHS Young Clinician Mentor Award, the NUS YLLSoM Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence, the NUS YLLSoM Special Recognition Award and several others.

Outside work, Dr. Ong enjoys travelling and exploring the interesting cultures and food of other countries. He also enjoys the hilarious company of his nieces and likes to share useful tips and knowledge with family and friends on dealing with the various concerns parents may have as their children grow.
